KALGA, HIMACHAL PRADESH
Ameet Singh is a practicing Architect who loves his Bricks, Sounds and Light. He studied architecture in the vibrant built environs of New Delhi and then did his Master’s at UCA, Rochester, UK in Three Dimensional Design where he worked with Digital Projection, Space & Soundscapes.
He has always had an inherent fondness for interdisciplinary work. Through his installation works he is been trying to manifest spatially the inner space that certain genres of music and sounds inhabit. His work has been displayed in the UCA gallery as a part of his MA and had won him a distinction at the Institute. He has held a series of exhibitions with the arts organization Red Earth at Alliance Francaise, Bluefrog (New Delhi) & Lila, where he collaborated with musicians but has lately shifted to Iphone & Ipad apps.
His architectural works have been published in Elle Décor, India & Frame Magazine, Germany. He likes his space detail oriented, materially rigorous and connected to the elements. He is currently working on architectural projects which explore the aesthetic potential of both natural light and sustainability. He is also a visiting faculty at Pearl Academy, Noida and Sushant School of Art & Architecture, Gurgaon.
In his installations he is currently working on the potential of generative works where light can be used as a medium to paint more silent spaces.
