EXPERIMENTAL FACILITIES
As part of building an artistic ecosystem in Kalga, a series of 5 modest facilities with a focus on aiding experimentation have been planned in the village. The facilities range from practical creative processes to technical prowess and theoretical stimulation.
These facilities are built by artists for artists as spaces that are open through the year for self-directed residencies. The creators of these facilities are also the artistic directors who are responsible for the process, projects and programs based on their self-directed visions for these spaces. Documenting the process and experience while working and residing in these spaces is a critical requirement in every artist engagement.
Selected creations from these facilities are exhibited in Kalga's private art collection spread across its outdoors, indoors and in an electronic archive.
