KYTA

A TRAVEL AND ART EXPERIMENT

Past programs

KYTA has hosted 5 annual group residencies in Kalga (2014-2018). Every edition featured 10 artists or more with equal number of participants from different parts of India and the world. The residency period has ranged from 4-6 weeks with all resident artists expected to be together.

In 2019, we have initiated 12x12 - a new year-long residency program building continued presence of artistic activity in Kalga with an emphasis on traditional media and contemporary handcraft. The program invites a new artist to spend at least a month in a self-directed residency or for a site-specific project, occupying the year with a minimum of 12 artists-in-residence.

JOIN the JOURNEY

We are now accepting applications for custom research and production residencies in Kalga through the year.
