Hashim Qayoom (Co-founder, Host and Residency Director)

Hashim Qayoom (b. 1979 , Kashmir) is the founder owner of Karma Yatri, a company that specialises in motorcycle expeditions in the Himalayas and experiential travel across India.

 

He has a formal education in Mechanical Engineering and a post graduation from Germany in Industrial Engineering and is currently working with a French multi-national company in the role of a Strategy consultant.

 

Hashim shares an intimate relationship with the Himalayas, being born in Kashmir and later finding his passion (trans Himalayan motorcycle expeditions) as an adolescent in Himachal & Ladakh. He first visited Kalga in 2005 where he met people and found a place that would have a dramatic affect on how his future would shape and it was on a holiday in 2010, that he decided to quit the corporate world and embark on his travel venture, Karma Yatri.
