12TH APRIL-11TH MAY, 2014

  KALGA, HIMACHAL PRADESH

Born in India (1984), Megha Katyal did MFA (painting) from College of Art, New Delhi in 2009. Afterwards, she received French Embassy Krishnakriti Fellowshipto do an internship at École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts, Paris, France.

Her artistic practice allows us to view her works in form of paintings, installations, performance and mixed-media. Threads, strands, needles, stitches and weaveshave always been tools of her expression. Experiences, observations, talks, relations come as weaves (warp & weft) in her work. The sensation of the making and weaving through the experiences is like a story writing, with each knot the moment, time and thought is weaved in these fragile but essential knots.

Her work has been exhibited in India, France, South Korea and United Kingdom.Currently she is teaching at State institute of fine arts, Rohtak.
