12TH APRIL-11TH MAY, 2014

  KALGA, HIMACHAL PRADESH

Rashi’s sculptural and functional ceramics are a process of going within one’s self. The works are each journeys taken to answer questions that arise. She has assisted various artists, experienced residencies and exhibited in solo, group and international shows. Rashi also works with traditional potter communities. The ‘Dekha Undekha’ project with the traditional potter community in Dharavi, Mumbai (2011-12) and a short film on the potters of Northeast India have been some of the collaborations and exchanges with traditional potters.

She has founded and curates ‘The Studio Potter’s Market’, at the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival, Mumbai. The market has initiated a movement in India and led the way to many such markets in Bhopal, Delhi and Calcutta. Rashi enjoys teaching ceramics by constantly experimenting with innovative learning modules, to develop skills in the arts.
