INEDIE: ARTISTIC RESULT OF KYTA 2015
Inedie is defined as 'being able to live without food'. Set in a post-apocalyptic near-future at the roof of the world (Himalayas), the film explores the habitat of a sect in human form that emerges from the poisoned waters that destroyed all beings on Earth. The members belonging to this sect or species feed on light in a world where the sun never sets. This new world of disparate light beings is challenged by nature as light begins to dwindle with their breaths, and a leader emerges in the last night on the planet.
The film is the artistic result of KYTA 2015 residency program that invited 11 artists representing India and France to produce material for a feature-length film in 6 weeks.
